Sco tch 2220 Stress Control Tape changes the voltage distribution in electrical field surrounding medium voltage joints or terminations.
Product Features:
• Temperature rating: 90°C continuous operating with emergency overload temperature of 130°C
• Changes voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding a high voltage termination or joint
• Reduces stress concentration to values found in continuous cables
Applications:
• Provides stress relief for all cable terminations and high voltage joints. By changing the electrical field surrounding the joint or termination, the stress concentration is reduced from several thousand volts to values found in continuous cable.
• 3m Mastic Tape 2220 Installation – the tape shall be applied in half-lapped layers with very little tension and the silver colour side looking outside.
